UK Small Business Awards 2025 | EBVAAS Top 10 Online Business

Original post follows this update…

Post-Awards Update 18 December 2025 – (Yes… from my spam folder)

A few days after awards night, I discovered an email update sitting quietly in my spam folder (of all places).

While I already knew I’d had an incredible evening at the UK Small Business Awards, I hadn’t realised the full outcomes until afterwards.

I’m incredibly proud to share that EBVAAS was recognised with the following achievements:

🏆 Best New Business – UK Top 100 Winner

🏆 Best New Business – UK Top 100 Winner

🌟 Best Small Business – Highly Recommended

🌟 Best Small Business – Highly Recommended

To receive this level of recognition less than a year into business is something I don’t take lightly. It’s a reminder that even when you’re focused on serving clients day-to-day, the work is being seen.

UK Small Business Awards 2025: No Trophy, Just Receipts

On Saturday 13 December 2025, I attended the UK Small Business Awards 2025 Grand Final, an evening designed to celebrate the journeys, resilience, and achievements of small businesses across the UK.

Ahead of the event, the SBA team shared a message that really stuck with me:

Not everyone can take home the trophy or place in the Top 10, but every finalist has a story worth celebrating.

That sentiment genuinely carried through the night.

From Home-Based Business to National Recognition

Emma Bridge Virtual Assistant & Administrative Services (EBVAAS) was built from home, around family life, and often quietly behind the scenes.

The work isn’t glamorous yet inboxes are managed, invoices are raised and chased, calendars are organised and businesses are supported day in, day out.

So to see that work recognised at a national level meant more than I expected.

I’m incredibly proud to have received recognition across five national categories at the UK Small Business Awards 2025:

Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Highly Recommended

Best Business Start-Up – UK Top 10

Best Online Business – UK Top 10

Best Home Based Business – UK Top 50

Best Customer Service – UK Top 100

While I didn’t walk away with a physical trophy, I did walk away with something just as important…validation.

No Trophy… But the Receipts Matter

No trophy.

Just receipts.

And as any good virtual assistant knows, receipts matter.

These results are proof that consistency counts, customer service still matters and home-based doesn’t mean small because quiet, reliable support is being seen.

For a UK virtual assistant business that exists to support others behind the scenes, that recognition means everything.

Thank You

Thank you to the UK Small Business Awards judges and team, and to every client who has trusted EBVAAS with their business admin and operations.

My Support Network

Behind this business is a support network I couldn’t do this without.

To my children, thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for being my daily reminder of why balance, flexibility, and purpose matter so much.

At the end of the awards night, I sent them this message, and it still sums everything up perfectly:

“I was chatting about you and how proud I am of you all.

I should’ve been talking about me and my business, but in reality you all are my greatest achievement.”

And that will always be true.

To my partner, and his family, thank you for being my biggest cheerleaders, my sounding boards, and my constant support network. From listening to ideas out loud to offering reassurance on the harder days, your encouragement has meant more than you probably realise.

No business is built in isolation, and EBVAAS is no exception. This recognition belongs just as much to the people supporting me behind the scenes as it does to the work itself.

Looking Ahead

Awards nights are a pause not a finish line.

Monday morning still comes.

The work still continues.

But I head into 2026 proud of how far EBVAAS has come, and confident that even the quiet work truly counts.

Onwards.
